Search ingredients

Goal

Locate an ingredient within the catalog of 10,000+ sheets, whether to check its macros, review its allergens, or look up its density and weight per unit.

How search works

Search filters by name and brand. You type the text and, after a short pause, the list updates with the sheets that match. There's no button to press: the search runs on its own as you type.

Next to the search box you have two more filters that can be combined:

• Category selector — pick a specific category or leave All categories.
• With allergens — narrows the list to ingredients that declare an EU-14 allergen.

Below the filter bar there's also a multi-select Tags section that narrows the catalog by cross-cutting traits (origin, diet, processing, use, chemical family, and source). Click the chips you're interested in and use Clear (N) to remove them. See the available axes and values in Ingredient catalog.

Any change to the search box, the category, the checkbox, or the tags returns the list to the first page.

Steps

Tips

• If your ingredient doesn't show up: try the generic name (cream instead of UHT 35% MF Cream Pascual) or remove any active filters. Remember the list paginates 50 at a time, so refine the search instead of scrolling through every page.
• If a raw material isn't in the global catalog, create it as a custom ingredient: your own sheets show up in search (also inside the recipe editor) marked with the Mine tag.
• For data specific to your supplier, consider adding custom fields to your account or keeping your own catalog with Import / Export.
• Inside each sheet you'll also find the subcategory and the brand or origin, useful when several ingredients share a name.
