Chocolate formulator
Instantly calculate the base formula for your chocolate (dark, milk, white, vegan milk or vegan white) from the cocoa percentage, the fluidity factor and the weight.
What is it?
The Chocolate formulator calculates the base formula of a chocolate from four decisions you make: the chocolate type, the formulation (with sugar or with sweeteners), the cocoa percentage and the fluidity factor, for a specific production weight. It returns the composition in grams, ready to save as a recipe.
The calculation is local and instant: every time you move a control, the composition recalculates on the spot. It uses no credits and requires no connection to the AI engine.

What you see
It's a single screen with live recalculation (not a step-by-step wizard): every control is visible at once and the result changes as you adjust each one.
Header
- Title Chocolate formulator.
- Subtitle: "Design the perfect formula for your craft chocolate"
Left column — controls and result
- Total weight (g): production weight. Default value 1000 g, range 1000–50000 g.
- Chocolate type: selector with five options (see Chocolate types).
- Formulation type: two options, With sugar or With sweeteners (see Sugar vs sweeteners).
- Cocoa percentage: slider with numeric editing. The valid range depends on the type you choose.
- Fluidity factor: slider with numeric editing. It's hidden for both white chocolates (see Fluidity indicator).
- Recommended values: box showing the resulting composition with the amount in grams of each ingredient (cocoa mass or nibs, cocoa butter, milk powder or plant-based alternative, sugar or the three sweetener lines, and lecithin).
Right column — Formula breakdown
Under the title Formula breakdown: you'll find the MelangerChart, a visualization of the proportions of each ingredient (see MelangerChart).
Button at the bottom
- Save recipe: turns the calculated formula into an editable recipe. It appears once there's a calculated result and opens the New recipe modal (see Save as recipe).
The Recommended values: box is the title of the results block, not a button. The formula fills in by itself as you move the controls; there's no "calculate" button. While it recalculates you'll briefly see a "Calculating..." in the results and a "Preparing formula..." in the breakdown; both disappear instantly.
