Import history

The History tab in Import recipes is your import inbox. It gathers everything you've uploaded as a photo or PDF—in progress, finished, or failed—so you don't lose track of any recipe. You open it at https://app.areacacao.com/import-recipe?tab=history.

Filter by status

At the top there's a row of cards that filter the inbox and, at the same time, tell you how many imports are in each status:

• All — every import.
• Queued — waiting to be processed.
• Processing — AI is reading them right now.
• Completed — finished, with the recipe already created.
• Failed — couldn't be processed.
• Not a recipe — the document wasn't a recipe and wasn't imported.

Cancelled imports and the ones waiting for you to pick a recipe (Choose recipe) appear under All, although they don't have their own filter card.

The table

Each import is a row with four columns:

While imports are queued or processing, the inbox refreshes on its own every few seconds, and also when you come back to the browser tab. If you have many imports, click Load more at the end of the list.

Warnings

Warnings flag details worth reviewing when you open the recipe. They aren't always errors: many just indicate something AI couldn't resolve with complete certainty.

• Sheets to pick or create — a line wasn't linked to a catalog ingredient, or several ingredients could match; pick or create one from the editor.
• Ambiguous unit — a unit of measure wasn't clear and is worth confirming.
• Unit needs review — a line had a measure or an amount the app had to interpret (a household measure, a crossed-out value…); check it.
• Line without quantity — the original didn't give the amount for a line; enter it in the editor.
• Generated from text — the recipe was created from a text description, not from an image.

Available actions

• Open recipe — appears on Completed imports. It takes you to the recipe editor, with the validation panel open.
• Choose recipe — appears on imports in Choose recipe: the file contained several recipes, and it opens the list so you can pick which one to import (or the whole document as one recipe).
• Cancel — appears on imports that are Queued or Processing. It asks for confirmation ("Cancel this job? Credits will be refunded automatically.") and, once you confirm, refunds the credits. While it cancels, the button shows Cancelling….
• Retry — appears on Failed imports: it processes the file again without uploading it a second time, reserving its credits again. Next to it you'll see a summary of the error; hover over it to read it in full.
• Delete — appears on every finished import (including the ones waiting for you to pick a recipe). It asks for confirmation ("Delete this entry from history?") and removes the row from the inbox.

Empty states

• Empty inbox: "Your inbox is empty". Click Import image to go back to the Upload new tab.
• Filter with no results: "No jobs in this status". Change the filter or import a new recipe to see activity.

If the inbox doesn't load, you'll see "Couldn't load your inbox"; reopen the tab to try again.
