Data consent

What the panelist sees when opening the link while the consent gate is active: a privacy notice and a required checkbox before they can start.

What it is

If your instance or your leader has the consent gate active, the panelist sees a privacy step on the welcome screen before they can start the evaluation. It's a transparency control over how their data is handled for that tasting.

What the panelist sees

When they open the link, alongside the tasting details there's a "Before you start: how we handle your data" block that explains their name, their tasting responses and minimal technical data will be recorded for that evaluation, and includes a link to the privacy notice (with its version number when available).

Below it there's a required checkbox:

"I have read the notice and consent to the processing of my data for this evaluation."

As long as the panelist doesn't check the checkbox, the Start evaluation button stays disabled. Checking it unlocks the start.

Notice version

The privacy link points to the versioned notice. If the notice is updated between the moment the panelist opens the screen and the moment they confirm, they'll see a message asking them to reload the page to accept the current version.

When it appears

The consent step only shows when the gate is active. If it isn't, the panelist goes straight from the welcome to the sample selection, with no checkbox.
