Your first recipe
Create an empty recipe from the Create button in the sidebar, add three ingredients, and save it.
Goal
Create your first recipe manually from scratch, add three ingredients from the catalog, and save it.
Manual or AI-assisted recipe? Both the Create button in the sidebar and New recipe in the My recipes list open the same selector, What do you want to formulate?. There, Recipe from scratch appears on its own, and the two assisted paths (Filling formulator and Chocolate formulator) are grouped under the AI-assisted divider, each with an AI badge. To create a blank recipe and fill it in by hand — which is what this guide covers — choose Recipe from scratch. If what you want is to generate a filling with AI, choose Filling formulator or go to Your first AI filling.
Before you start
- Have an active account and a verified email.
- (Optional) Decide which target weight you want to use.
Steps
Open the selector and choose "Recipe from scratch"
In the sidebar, click the Create button and choose New recipe. The What do you want to formulate? selector opens. Click the Recipe from scratch option.
Name the recipe
The Recipe name field arrives with a suggested name (something like "New Recipe [date] at [time]") already selected: leave it as is for a quick test, or type your own over it. Click Create recipe and the editor opens at /reciview?id=<recipe id>. You can rename it later from the editor.
Adjust the header and weight
In the editor header you can set the target weight in grams, the chocolate type, and the cocoa % if the recipe needs it.
Add three ingredients
On the Ingredients tab, click the search field and start typing. The search tolerates typos and accents. Select the ingredient and adjust the amount. Repeat until you have three.
Save
Click Save (top-right corner of the editor). The recipe is stored and available in My recipes (/recipes).
Expected result
After creating the recipe you land in the editor (/reciview), where you add the ingredients and save. Your new recipe appears in the My recipes list (/recipes), with its total weight and the cocoa % calculated automatically.
Common issues
