Create and access your account
How to sign in to AreaCacao for the first time, what onboarding you complete, and what to do if you forgot your password.
AreaCacao is part of the ChocoAcademy ecosystem: your account is created when you purchase your plan, and once you have it, you sign in from the login screen.
Sign in
Go to https://app.areacacao.com. You'll see the sign-in screen with the logo and the tagline "Your bean-to-bar chocolate lab". Enter:
- Email — the one you used when you purchased your plan.
- Password — yours.
Click Sign in. If your account has two-step verification enabled, you'll then be asked for the code from your authenticator app before you get in. If you don't have access to the app, you can use one of your backup codes (each code works only once).
When you sign in successfully, you land on your dashboard, at https://app.areacacao.com/dashboard.
Don't have an account yet? On the sign-in screen itself, the "Join ChocoAcademy" link takes you to purchase your access. If you just bought it and your account still isn't working, wait a few minutes; if the problem persists, write to support@areacacao.com.
Want to explore first? On the same sign-in screen, the "See the Sensory Analysis demo" link opens a public demo of the tasting module, no account needed.
First sign-in: onboarding
The first time you sign in, AreaCacao walks you through a short onboarding to tailor the tool to your business. There are four steps:
- Welcome — a quick introduction. Click Get started.
- Business type — choose between Artisanal, Micro-business, Industrial, or Student / Hobby and click Continue. You can Skip for now if you'd rather decide later.
- Regional settings — choose your currency and your country, so your costs and text come out in your format, and click Continue (or Use defaults). Although the step's subtitle mentions "language", only the Currency and Country selectors appear on the screen: language isn't selectable yet (the interface is in Spanish).
- Done — the "You're all set to formulate!" screen confirms that your workspace is set up. Click Go to dashboard.
Everything you choose here can be changed later in Settings, so don't get stuck: move forward and adjust it whenever you need to.
Forgot your password?
On the sign-in screen, click Forgot your password?. It will take you to the recovery flow, where you'll receive instructions by email to set a new one. If you need help at any point, the Help link opens a direct email to support.
Two-step verification
If your account uses two-step verification, after you enter your email and password you'll see the Two-step verification screen: type the six-digit code from your authenticator app and click Verify and continue. If you don't have access to the app, use the "Use a backup code" link and enter one of your single-use codes. It's an extra layer of security to protect your recipes and your data.
