Recipe editor

Path and purpose

• Path: https://app.areacacao.com/reciview?id=<id>
• How to get there: open any recipe from /recipes (click the card or the row).
• What it's for: edit every field of a recipe, review its costs, yield, and charts, and run actions like scaling, sharing, printing, duplicating, or deleting.

Structure

Rich header

At the top, a bar with the Back to recipes link (on the left) and the recipe actions (on the right):

• Autosave indicator — shows the save status (see below).
• Hide charts / Show charts — toggles the side charts panel.
• Scale — opens the scaling assistant (see Scale recipe).
• Actions menu (⋮) — Share, Version history, Print / PDF, Duplicate recipe, Delete recipe.

Below it, the recipe's editable header:

• Recipe name — inline editable field; type and it saves on its own. Long names show on up to two lines, without truncating mid-word.
• Description (optional) — optional textarea, also inline editable.

And below the header, an info row with Created, Updated, and Total weight.

Metadata strip (chocolate recipes only)

A strip with Type, Cocoa %, Target weight (g), and Fluidity appears only on recipes from the Chocolate formulator. On filling recipes and on those created from scratch (which can be of any type) this strip is not shown, because those fields don't apply.

Tabs

The editor has five productive tabs:

• Ingredients — the composition table. It's the default tab. See Ingredients tab.
• Method — numbered process steps. See Method tab.
• Costs — total cost, cost per 100 g, and the per-ingredient breakdown. It also includes an AI cost analysis that generates a report with an executive summary, key cost drivers, and recommendations (uses plan credits, ~8 per analysis). See Costs tab.
• Yield — yield, serving size, and servings. See Yield tab.
• Sensory analysis — lists the tastings linked to this recipe and lets you start a new tasting without leaving the editor.

Sensory analysis tab

The Sensory analysis tab is active: it shows the tastings linked to this recipe and a button to create a new one, pre-linked to the recipe:

• With a Pro or Studio plan you'll see the Create an evaluation for this recipe button, which opens the full tasting assistant already linked to the recipe (you can walk through every step: type, samples, protocol, panel, and logistics).
• On the other plans you'll see Evaluate this recipe with the Pro plan, which takes you to the pricing page (/pricing).

Side charts panel

On large screens, a charts panel appears on the right with three sub-tabs:

• Nutrition — macro percentages and distribution.
• Validation — the Formula validation. You pick a formula type and the panel measures your recipe against its ranges, with a score and out-of-range warnings. See Formula validation.
• Costs — total, cost per 100 g, and breakdown.

You can hide it with Hide charts; the preference is remembered between sessions. On mobile, the panel moves below the content.

Footer

At the bottom, the recipe's internal identifier and the date it was last edited.

Autosave (there's no Save button)

The editor saves on its own: every change triggers an automatic save after a short pause. The header indicator reflects the status:

• Saving… — the change is being sent.
• All saved — there are no pending changes.
• Unsaved changes — click the indicator to force a save.
• Error — retry — the last save failed; click to retry.
