Tastings (Evaluations)
List of tastings with their status. Entry point to create or open a tasting.
What it is
The Sensory evaluations screen is the list of all your tastings: drafts, active, and closed. From here you create a new tasting or open an existing one to evaluate it.
How to get there
- URL:
https://app.areacacao.com/sensory-analysis/evaluations - How to reach it: in the sidebar, under SENSORY ANALYSIS → My evaluations. Also from the My evaluations tile in the module hub.
Pro plan or above, or a tasting pack with credit left. With neither, you see an invitation to upgrade instead of the list (with a link to the one-time packs); closing it takes you back to the hub.
Sections
Header
- Breadcrumb Sensory analysis / Evaluations.
- Title Sensory evaluations.
- Description: "Full list of active, draft, and closed evaluations. Create a new evaluation or open an existing one to start tasting."
- New evaluation button (top-right corner).
Search and filters
As soon as you have at least one tasting, a bar appears above the list with:
- A search box, Search by name or client…: it finds the tasting by its title or by the assigned client, ignoring case and accents.
- A Test type dropdown (All types or one of the types present in your list).
- A Status dropdown (All statuses or one of the statuses present in your list).
With any filter active you see the count ("N of M evaluations.") and the Clear filters link. If nothing matches, you see "No evaluation matches your search."
Tasting cards
The list shows one card per tasting, in a single column. Each card shows:
- Title of the evaluation.
- Status badge: Draft (including a tasting you have launched but not closed yet), Active (a closed tasting you have reopened), or Closed.
- Test type.
- Date of the last update.
- Number of samples (
N samples). - Number of evaluations recorded (
N evaluations).
To the right of each card there is a trash icon (Delete).
Actions
- New evaluation (header) — opens the tasting creation wizard.
- Click a card — opens the detail of that tasting.
- Trash icon — asks for confirmation ("Delete this evaluation?") and removes the tasting from your list. It no longer counts toward this month's tasting quota.
Screen states
- No tastings yet: the message "No evaluations yet" with the text "Create your first sensory evaluation to start rating attributes on samples." and a Create first evaluation button that opens the wizard.
- Loading: four loading rows (skeleton) are shown.
- Load error: the message "Couldn't load evaluations" with a note to try again later or contact support if it persists.
