Tasting details
The screen of an open tasting with its samples, its panel, its operations, and its close.
What it is
The tasting details screen is the command center for a specific evaluation: from here you see its setup, manage the panel's digital invitations, access the printable sheets and labels, and close the tasting to lock results.

Sections
Header
- ← Tastings link to return to the list.

Operations

Digital evaluation
Panel to manage the panel's access to the digital evaluation: a unique link per panelist, QR code, and progress by completed sample. The panelist evaluates from their phone, with no app or login.
From here you manage the whole digital invitation cycle:
- Generate links — creates each panelist's unique link (without sending an email).
- Send emails — generates the links and sends them by email to each panelist who has an email address.
- Regenerate — forces new links (invalidating the previous ones).
- Resend and Revoke — per panelist, resend their email or void their access.
- Copy a panelist's link or open their QR code to display it in the booth.
The table lists each panelist with their Progress (N/N samples, in real time), their Link status, the Share actions (copy / QR), and the Actions (resend / revoke). As the panel completes samples, you'll see a pop-up notice "[name] completed a sample".
If the tasting doesn't have panelists assigned yet, the panel shows "Assign panelists to the tasting before generating digital invitations." Assign them first in the Assigned panel section.

Results
Block that gathers the tasting's results. What you see depends on the test type:
- Panel tests (the 9 non-training tests): the results block with its means, charts, and tables. Right here, while the tasting is not closed, the Close tasting and lock results button appears.
- Training tests (Basic taste recognition and Threshold detection): a results block specific to training, which feeds the result into the panelist profile (see Test types).
Configured samples
Table with the tasting's samples, under the Configured samples (N) heading. Columns:
- # (position).
- Internal name.
- Blind code.
- Notes.
If the tasting has no protocol assigned, the printable sheets warn you: "This tasting has no protocol assigned. The sheet is generated without a predefined attributes section; the panelist can take free-form notes."
Actions
- Close tasting and lock results — closes the tasting, triggers the statistical aggregation, and leaves it in Closed status. It appears only when the tasting is not yet closed and is not a training test; while it processes it shows Closing…. See Close and aggregate.
- Edit draft — available only while the tasting is in Draft status. It lets you adjust the title, the dates, the panel instructions, and the directed question. See the detail below.
- From the Operations section, open Printable sheets, Avery L7160 labels, or Shelf life depending on what you need.
Editing a draft
While the tasting is in Draft status you can edit its setup data:
- The tasting title.
- The dates (start or closing deadline).
- The panel instructions.
- The directed question.
You can't change the samples or the test type, not even in draft: doing so would break the blind codes already planned for each sample. Editing is limited to the fields above. Once you launch the tasting (it's no longer a draft), these fields are locked too.
Screen states
- No samples configured: message "This tasting has no samples configured yet." with the Create a new evaluation → link.
Besides Draft, Open, and Closed, a tasting can end up in Voided status: it stays on record but with no valid results. The header badge reflects that status.
