Tasting details

What it is

The tasting details screen is the command center for a specific evaluation: from here you see its setup, adjust the panel, manage the digital invitations, access the printable sheets and labels, follow the results, and close (or reopen) the tasting.

Sections

Header

• ← Tastings link to return to the list.
• Tasting title.
• Status badge: Draft, Active, or Closed (see Tasting statuses, below).
• Metadata line: ID · test type · mode (synchronous or asynchronous).
• Client: the assigned client or unassigned, with the Assign or Change link. It can be changed in any status, even once the tasting is closed; leave it empty to remove it.
• Delete evaluation button, available in any status.
• Depending on the status, Edit draft (in Draft) or Generate dossier and Reopen tasting (in Closed).

Statistics

A row with four key data points for the tasting: Samples, Panelists, Start, and End. When you close the tasting, End becomes the closing time.

Digital evaluation

Section for managing the panel's access to the digital evaluation: a unique link per panelist, QR code, and progress by completed sample. The panelist evaluates from their phone, with no app or login.

From here you manage the whole digital invitation cycle:

• Generate links — creates each panelist's unique link (without sending an email).
• Send emails — generates the links and sends them by email to each panelist who has an email address.
• Regenerate — forces new links (invalidating the previous ones).
• Resend and Revoke — per panelist, resend their email or void their access.
• Copy a panelist's link or open their QR code to display it in the booth.

The table lists each panelist with their Progress (N/N samples, in real time), their Link status, the Share actions (copy / QR), and the Actions (resend / revoke). As the panel completes samples, you'll see a pop-up notice "[name] completed a sample".

Assigned panel

List of the panelists assigned to this tasting, under the Assigned panel (N) heading, each with their panelist type. While the tasting is not closed you can change the panel without rebuilding the tasting:

• Add panelist opens the same window as in the wizard (create a new one or select an existing one).
• Each panelist's × removes them after confirmation ("Remove this person from the panel?"): they disappear from the panel and their evaluation link is revoked. The answers they already sent are kept and still count in the results.

Once the tasting is closed, the list is read-only.

Results

Block that gathers the tasting's results. What you see depends on the test type:

• Panel tests (the 9 non-training tests): the Results block, with means, charts, and tables depending on the test type. While the tasting is not closed it is a real-time preview ("Real-time preview. Close the tasting to lock in the results."); once closed, it is the final panel analysis.
• Training tests (Basic taste recognition and Threshold detection): the Calibration results block, which is only computed when you close the tasting and feeds the result into the panelist profile (see Panel training).

In both cases, while the tasting is not closed, the Close tasting and lock results button appears above the block.

Configured samples

Table with the tasting's samples, under the Configured samples (N) heading. Columns:

• # (position).
• Internal name.
• Blind code.
• Notes.

Actions

• Close tasting and lock results — asks for confirmation and leaves the tasting in Closed status. It appears while the tasting is not closed, for any test type (training tests included); while it processes it shows Closing…. See Close and lock a tasting.
• Reopen tasting — only on a closed tasting: it returns it to Active status so you can keep collecting evaluations or adjust the panel. See Close and lock a tasting.
• Generate dossier — only on a closed tasting: it opens the new dossier wizard. The tasting isn't preselected; pick it in the wizard's sources step.
• Edit draft — only while the tasting is in Draft status. It lets you adjust the title, the dates, the panel instructions, and the directed question. See the detail below.
• Delete evaluation — asks for confirmation ("Delete this evaluation?"), removes the tasting from your list, and frees this month's quota. It takes you back to the list.
• From the Operations section, open Printable sheets, Digitize paper sheets, Avery L7160 labels, or Shelf life depending on what you need.

Editing a draft

While the tasting is in Draft status (which includes a tasting you have launched but not closed yet) you can edit its setup data in the Edit tasting draft window:

• The tasting Title.
• Start date and End date.
• Panel instructions.
• Directed question.

Click Save changes; you'll see the notice "Draft updated successfully."

Tasting statuses

• Draft — a tasting is in this status when you launch it from the wizard, and it stays there while the panel evaluates, until you close it.
• Closed — after Close tasting and lock results. The panel can no longer send answers or be changed.
• Active — a closed tasting you have reopened with Reopen tasting.

Screen states

• No samples configured: message "This tasting has no samples configured yet." with the Create a new evaluation → link.
