Troubleshooting
Common errors when generating a filling and how to resolve them.
Minimum quality not reached
The "We're perfecting this combination" screen
- When it appears: after three attempts the engine doesn't reach the minimum quality (a score below 70). Instead of a code, you'll see the neutral We're perfecting this combination screen. (
RANGE_NOT_REACHABLEis an internal diagnostic code that isn't shown on screen.) - Why: the combination of inputs (family + flavors + constraints) leaves the engine no room to produce a valid recipe.
- What to do:
- Look at the constraints you set in Step 3 (min cocoa %, max water %, diet).
- Relax the most demanding constraint — usually the max water % or an exclusive diet.
- Try again. The credits from the failed attempt have already been refunded automatically.
Combination not available
- When it appears: instead of a result you'll see a screen with the heading We're perfecting this combination and a Try another combination button, with the text "Your combination of filling type and flavor isn't available yet in our curated library."
- Why: you picked a family without an engine (see below) or a combination of type and flavor that the engine doesn't cover yet.
- What to do: try a more classic flavor (vanilla, coffee, pure chocolate) or change the filling type. No credits have been deducted: the refund is automatic.
What about the families I can't see?
- What happens: Step 1 only shows Ganache, Caramels and Pâte de fruit. The families in development (Crunchy fillings, Foams, Creams, Traditional pastes and Truffles) are hidden: they don't appear in the grid and can't be selected.
- Why: they don't have a quality-guaranteed engine yet, so the wizard doesn't expose them. There's no error flow or refund for them, because they can't be generated.
- What to do: work with the three active families. When a new family goes live, it'll appear in the wizard and the documentation will grow accordingly.
Flavor not available
- When it appears: the search box can't find your flavor.
- Why: the flavor isn't curated in the catalog yet, or it has a different name.
- What to do: try a synonym or a nearby flavor from the same aromatic family. If you work often with a flavor that doesn't show up, report it to support so it can be added.
Not enough credits
- Symptom: when you press Generate formula the You're out of credits modal opens.
- Why: your AI credit balance is lower than the 12 credits a generation costs. The button isn't disabled: the modal pops up when you try to generate.
- What to do: from the modal you can Buy a credit pack (credits never expire) or Upgrade your plan. After buying or upgrading, the generation resumes automatically. See Credits and refunds.
When saving the recipe
"You already have this recipe"
- What it is: this isn't an error. If you try to save a recipe identical to one you already have, a sub-modal appears with three options: Open the existing recipe, Save as a duplicate anyway or Change the name and save.
- What to do: pick the option you prefer. This is the normal flow to avoid accidental duplicates.
Saving fails
- Symptom: you press Save recipe and see "Couldn't save the recipe." or "Network error. Please try again."
- Action: try again. If the problem persists, reload the page and reproduce the generation — results are cached, so the second call with the same inputs is practically instant and usually resolves without extra cost.
Transient errors
The generation hangs
- Symptom: the four progress phases don't advance, or a timeout appears.
- Action: reload the page. If credits were deducted but you didn't get a result, wait 1–2 minutes: the system detects orphaned operations and refunds them.
When to contact support
- The same combination fails repeatedly with standard flavors (raspberry, vanilla) and a reasonable weight (1 kg).
- Your credits weren't refunded after you saw the We're perfecting this combination screen or a combination-not-available message.
