Multi-device sessions
Sign out of every open session at once if you lose a device or suspect unauthorized access.
AreaCacao lets you stay signed in on several devices at once—the workshop laptop, your phone, the tablet. If you lose one or suspect access that isn't yours, you can sign out of all sessions at once.
Where is it?
Avatar in the sidebar → Settings → Account tab → Sessions block. There you'll find a single button: Sign out everywhere.
Below the button it reads: "Sign out everywhere to force a re-login on all devices (including this one)."
How does it work?
It's an all-or-nothing action: there's no list of sessions per device and no option to close just one. When you click Sign out everywhere, the app asks for confirmation:
This will sign you out on ALL devices. Continue?
If you accept, all sessions are invalidated—including your current one—and you're returned to the sign-in screen. You'll have to sign back in with your password on every device you keep using.
When should you use it?
- You lost a device, or it was stolen, where you had a session open.
- You used the app on a borrowed or public computer and forgot to sign out.
- You suspect someone knows your password (in that case, change it too: changing your password also signs out the other sessions).
Changing your password already signs out the other sessions automatically. The Sign out everywhere button is useful when you want to kick out all access without changing your password.
