My recipes

Path and purpose

• Path: https://app.areacacao.com/recipes
• How to get there: Sidebar → Formulation → My recipes.
• What it's for: see all your recipes, search them, filter them, open the editor for an existing one, create a new one, or import one with AI.
• Availability: any user with an account. The only exception is the old free accounts, created before signing up required choosing a plan: they hold up to 5 recipes of your own; once you have 5, creating another shows the notice "Your free account holds up to 5 recipes. A plan removes the limit."

What you see

Header

At the very top, the Back to dashboard link. Below it, the My recipes title with a counter along the lines of N recipes · M shown (the second number reflects how many remain visible after applying the search and filters). On the right, two action buttons: AI import and New recipe.

The list loads in batches of 50 recipes. If you have more, the counter adds X of N loaded and a Load more recipes button appears at the end of the list.

Filter panel

Above the list there's a bar with four controls:

• Search — the Search by name or description… field. Filters by the recipe's name and description as you type.
• Chocolate filter — the All chocolates selector plus the types present in your recipes (Dark, Milk, White, Vegan milk, Vegan white, Custom).
• Filling filter — the All fillings selector plus the families present in your recipes. If you don't have any recipe with a filling, this selector appears disabled.
• Sort — a selector with four options: Most recent, Oldest, Name A–Z, Weight, high to low.

The filters and sorting are instant: the list reorders and shrinks without reloading. The chocolate and filling options aren't a fixed list: they're generated from the types you actually have. Search, filters and sorting work on the recipes already loaded: if you see X of N loaded and can't find a recipe, click Load more recipes.

View toggle

A pair of buttons let you switch between Grid view (cards) and List view (table). To their left, Export CSV downloads the visible recipes (with the search and filters applied) as a CSV you can re-import or edit in Excel.

Recipe cards

In grid view, each recipe is a card with:

• The recipe's name and, if it has one, its description (up to two lines).
• The chocolate type (Dark, Milk, White, etc.) and/or the name of the filling type (for example Ganache).
• The number of items (components) and the total weight in grams.
• A Validation N% badge with a color bar, when the recipe has a validation score (see Formula validation).
• A globe icon when the recipe is published as public (see Share recipe).
• The Example label on the example recipe the app seeds, so you never mistake it for your own work.
• How long ago it was last updated (for example 3d ago; after a week, the date).

In list view, the same recipes appear in a table with the columns Name, Type, Items, Weight, Updated, Actions.

Main controls

Empty states

• No recipes yet: No recipes yet + Three ways to get your first recipe in. All of them land in the same editor, with validation, costing and inventory. with three cards: From scratch (Open the editor creates a blank recipe and opens it), Formulate (Choose a formulator opens the What do you want to formulate? selector) and Import (Import a recipe takes you to /import-recipe).
• No filter results: No results + Adjust the filters or your search to find your recipe.
