Shared with me
Find the recipes other people have shared with you, view them, and save them to your recipes.
What it is
Shared with me is the section where the recipes that other people have invited you to view privately show up. From here you view them and, if they interest you, save them to your own recipes. Receiving and saving shared recipes is free on any plan, including the free one.
How to get there
In the sidebar, under Formulation, click Shared with me. You can also go straight to https://app.areacacao.com/shared-with-me.
How to find a shared recipe
When someone shares a recipe with you:
- You get an email with the invitation.
- The recipe appears in your Shared with me section, with the author's name, the recipe name, and the date it was shared with you.
For a shared recipe to appear here, sign in with the same email the invitation was sent to. If you were invited before having an account, create one with that email and the recipe will appear automatically when you sign in.
View and save
Open the recipe
On the recipe card, click View. The recipe opens in read-only mode: composition, method, macros, allergens, and, if the author turned them on, their quality badge and tips. You will never see the author's costs.
Save it to your recipes
If you want to work on it, click Save to my recipes. An editable copy is created in your account, with its composition, its parts, and its score, ready for you to tweak. The copy is yours: the author doesn't see your changes.
Access to a shared recipe depends on the author. If they revoke it or the expiry date they set passes, it stops appearing in your Shared with me. The copies you already saved to your recipes stay yours.
