Sensory analysis tab
The editor tab that links the recipe to its tastings: summary, list of evaluations, and pre-linked creation.
What it is
The editor's Sensory analysis tab connects the recipe you have open with the Sensory analysis module. From here you see every tasting linked to this recipe and launch a new one without losing context.
It's the fifth tab in the editor, alongside Ingredients, Method, Costs, and Yield (see Recipe editor).
Availability by plan
Creating tastings from the recipe requires a plan with Sensory analysis (Pro or Studio). On the other plans the tab stays visible, but the create button is replaced by Evaluate this recipe with the Pro plan, which takes you to the pricing page (/pricing).
Summary
When the recipe already has linked tastings, the top section shows a Sensory analysis summary with four indicators:
- Total tastings — the number of tastings associated with the recipe.
- Active — tastings in progress.
- Closed — finished tastings.
- Avg. score — average score of the tastings with a result.
Linked tastings
Below the summary you'll find the Linked tastings (N) list, which is sortable (by most recent, oldest, top score, or most evaluations). Each row shows two badges:
- Status — Draft, Active, Closed, or Canceled.
- Type — Descriptive, Discriminative, or Hedonic.
Click a tasting to open it in the Sensory analysis module.
Create an evaluation
With a Pro or Studio plan, the Create an evaluation for this recipe button opens the full tasting assistant, already pre-linked to the recipe. You walk through every step of the assistant (test type, samples, protocol, panel, and logistics) and end up with an operational tasting tied to the recipe.
Empty state
If the recipe doesn't have any tastings yet, you'll see No sensory analysis yet with a short explanation and the same button to create the first evaluation.
