Public recipe page

Publish your recipe on a beautiful page with charts, a quality badge, and tips, with costs always private.

What it is

The public page is a read-only view of your recipe, hosted at https://app.areacacao.com/r/<id>, that anyone can open without an account. It's both your calling card and a small demo of what AreaCacao does: it shows the recipe with charts and a quality badge, and invites whoever sees it to create their own.

It's free on every plan.

What it shows

  • The recipe's composition, with each ingredient's amount and percentage, presented with charts (composition by ingredient and macros breakdown).
  • The step-by-step method.
  • Nutrition per 100 g and allergens (EU 1169/2011).
  • A quality badge, adapted to the formula type:
    • Fillings generated with the Formulator → the AI score (a number from 0 to 100).
    • Chocolates → a verified formula seal (no number: the formula is deterministic).
    • Recipes built by hand → no badge.
  • Master tips — up to two short pieces of advice taken from your method notes. They're sanitized automatically: emails, phone numbers, and cost references are never shown.
  • Your authorship, only if you turn it on (see below). Your email is never shown.

Per-ingredient costs never appear on the public page. The page only exposes composition, macros, allergens, badge, and tips: never purchase prices, suppliers, or your recipe's cost.

How to publish

From the editor, ⋮ → Share menu, Public link tab.

Turn on Public recipe

Turn on the Public recipe toggle. The app generates the public link in the form https://app.areacacao.com/r/<id>. Click Copy to grab it.

Decide whether to show your authorship

The Show my authorship toggle controls whether your name appears as the author on the page. It's opt-in: you decide. Even if you turn it on, your email is never shown.

Unpublish whenever you want

To take the recipe down, go back to the tab and turn off Public recipe. The link stops working instantly and the page shows Recipe not available.

If you shared the link with the wrong person, use Generate a new URL in the same tab: it creates a fresh identifier and invalidates the old link.

The page's language

The public page detects the language of whoever opens it (their browser) and displays in Spanish or English accordingly. The reader can also switch language with the page's own selector. If you, as the author, preview your link, switching the public page's language does not change your app's language.

Search engines and social preview

The page is built to spread:

  • It's indexable by search engines (Google and the like).
  • When you paste the link into social media or messaging, it generates a rich preview (image, title, and description) with the AreaCacao brand and the quality badge.

Copy to my recipes (sign-up wall)

Whoever opens your page sees a Copy to my recipes button:

  • If they already have an account and are signed in, they get an editable copy in their account right away.
  • If they don't have an account, they go through a soft sign-up wall: they're invited to create a free account and, as soon as they verify it, the recipe is copied automatically to their workspace. The intent to copy isn't lost along the way.
