Method tab
Numbered step editor to describe your recipe's process.
What it is
The Method tab in the editor lets you write out the steps of the recipe's process. It prints on the A4 sheet and shows up in any later export.
How to use it
- Add a step. Use the Add step button. Each step is numbered automatically.
- Write the content. Free text per step (placeholder Describe the step…). Use clear, workshop-oriented language: "Melt the couverture to 45 °C", "Temper to 31 °C on the marble slab", and so on.
- Edit. Click the step's text.
- Delete. The control at the far right of the step. The remaining steps renumber themselves.
Empty state
If the recipe has no steps, you'll see No steps in the process. along with the hint Add the first step (e.g. temper to 31°C, conch 8h, …).
Best practices
- One step = one atomic action. If a step has three different verbs, consider splitting it.
- Specify concrete temperatures, times, and tools. Your team will thank you.
- If a step depends on a specific ingredient, name it with the same name that appears on the Ingredients tab to avoid ambiguity.
