Share recipe

Share a recipe two ways: a public page for the world, or a private invitation by email.

What it is

Sharing a recipe has two faces, both from the same place and with costs always hidden (only you can see them):

  1. Public page (free, all plans) — turn on a toggle and your recipe is published on a beautiful page with charts, a quality badge, master tips, and a Copy to my recipes button. It's search-engine indexable and perfect for showing your work to the world.
  2. Private sharing (Starter plan and up) — from the same window, invite specific people by email. Each recipient sees the recipe in their Shared with me section and can save it to their own recipes. Receiving and saving is free on any plan.

How to get there

From the recipe editor (/reciview?id=<id>), open the menu and click Share. The Share recipe modal opens with two tabs: Public link and Invite people.

The two tabs

In the Public link tab you turn on the Public recipe toggle, copy the link, and optionally show your authorship. Anyone can open the page without an account.

How the public page works, what it shows, and how it's indexed: Public recipe page.

Invite people

In the Invite people tab (Starter plan and up) you type one or more emails, add an optional message and expiry, and send the invitation.

How to invite, manage, and revoke access: Private sharing.

On both faces, per-ingredient costs are never shown to whoever receives the recipe. Only you can see them from your account.
